Tax certificates can be issued on any land or parcel for a prepaid fee. There are three ways to purchase a tax certificate. Verbal confirmation of tax certificates will be provided to purchasers up to 30 days following the date it is issued.

Property tax certificates are now available online by using the Tax Certificate Online Tool (TCOL). TCOL is a fast and convenient way to obtain tax certificates electronically.
To order a tax certificate online you will need to set up a TCOL user account, provide the roll number for the property you wish to order the tax certificate for, and complete the purchase with a credit card. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive the electronic certificate in less than a minute.
The fee for ordering a tax certificate through TCOL is $71.95.

Mail your request including the physical address and roll number of the property, along with a cheque in the amount of $80.00 made payable to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to :

Call 3-1-1 to make a payment of $80.00 over the phone with your credit card and we will provide an electronic receipt by email. Upon delivery of the receipt, email your detailed request including the physical address and roll number of the property, along with the receipt, to ckar@chatham-kent.ca to have the request processed.
