Brush & Leaf Collection

Please note that all leaf and yard waste, including brush, must not obstruct the municipal roadway or public sidewalk.

Transition to Paper Bag Mandate - Now in Effect

The Municipality has transitioned to a paper bag mandate for curbside leaf and yard waste collection in the following communities that were previously under a clear bag requirement:

  • Bates Subdivision
  • Blenheim
  • Bothwell
  • Thamesville
  • Ridgetown
  • Tilbury

Benefits of Paper Bags:

  • Reduce environmental impact by minimizing plastic waste
  • Promote sustainability with biodegradable materials
  • Easily recyclable and compostable

Important Reminder: As of January 1, 2025, leaf and yard waste placed at the curb will not be collected if set out in plastic bags. Paper bags are now mandatory for collection in the communities listed above.
