The Municipality of Chatham-Kent's planned road and lane closures are listed below. This information is updated every Friday.

  • Bethel Road, Bridle Path Road, Paddock Road, Winners Circle – Community of Wallaceburg – Monday, August 26, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, December 6, 2024 at 7:00 PM – All lanes closed for watermain relining project.
  • Cathcart Street between Cunningham Avenue and Cecil Street North – Community of Ridgetown – Monday, August 12, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, November 22, 2024 at 7:00 PM – All lanes closed for Cathcart Street reconstruction project.
  • Catherine Street between Talbot Street West and Marlborough Street South – Community of Blenheim – Friday, November 1, 2024 at 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM – All lanes closed immediately south of Talbot Street West for pavement markings installation.
  • Claymore Line between St. Clair Road and Prince Albert Road – Community of Chatham Township – Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, January 3, 2025 at 7:00 PM – All lanes closed 140 m east of St. Clair Road for culvert replacement over the Big Creek Drain.
  • Dillon Road between Sixth Line East and Seventh Line West – Community of Raleigh Township – Monday, October 28, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, November 8, 2024 at 7:00 PM – All lanes closed at the Highway 401 overpass for maintenance repairs.
  • Elizabeth Street between Lorne Avenue and Lisgar Street – Lisgar Street between Elizabeth Street and Elgin Street – Community of Wallaceburg – Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, November 15, 2024 at 7:00 PM – All lanes closed for Elizabeth Street and Lisgar Street reconstruction project.
  • Heron Line between Bear Line Road and Winter Line Road – Community of Dover Township – Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, November 22, 2024 at 6:00 PM – All lanes closed 250 m west of Bear Line Road at the Boyle Drain for culvert rehabilitation project.
  • Merlin Road between McDougall Line and Gleeson Line – Community of Raleigh Township – Monday, October 21, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, December 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM – All lanes on Merlin Road closed 200 m north and 200 m south of Queens Line for the Queens Line and Merlin Road intersection improvements project. All lanes on Queens Line will remain open.
  • Sixth Street between King Street West and Simcoe Lane – Community of Chatham – Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 8:00 AM to Friday, November 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM – All lanes closed immediately north of King Street West for pavement markings installation.
  • Talbot Trail between Stevenson Road and Coatsworth Road – Community of Tilbury-East – Until Further Notice – All lanes closed 450 m east of Coatsworth Road due to erosion from Lake Erie.
  • Wyandott Street between Cecile Avenue and Chippewa Drive – Community of Chatham – Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 7:00 AM to Friday, November 15, 2024 at 7:00 PM – All lanes closed for Wyandott Street reconstruction project.

Remembrance Day Parade Special Events 

  • Community of Blenheim – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM – Starting at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 185 (#34 Catherine Street) and proceeding north on Catherine Street, east on Talbot Street West, north on George Street to St. Mary's Hall (94 George Street) for Remembrance Day service before returning to Legion Branch 185 on the same route. All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
  • Community of Chatham – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Starting at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 642 (#39 William Street North) and proceeding south on William Street, west on King Street West to the Cenotaph on Sixth Street for service. After the service, proceed back to Legion Branch 642 on the same route. All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
  • Community of Dresden – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Starting at CK Fire Station 6 (#185 Lindsley Street) and proceeding west on Lindsley Street, south on St George Street South to the Cenotaph on Queen Street for service. The parade reforms and proceeds west on Queen Street West, north on Centre Street, east on Lindsley Street and concluding at CK Fire Station 6 (#185 Lindsley Street). All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
  • Community of Erieau – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM – Starting at #875 Mariners Road (Molly and OJ's Restaurant) and proceeding east on Mariners Road, north on Nichols Avenue, west on Ross Lane to the Veterans Memorial Garden. After the wreath laying ceremony, the parade will proceed west on Ross Lane for 200 m, south on the service road, then proceed east on Mariners Road and concluding at #875 Mariners Road (Molly and OJ's Restaurant). All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
  • Community of Ridgetown – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM – Starting at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 243 (#73 Main Street East) and proceeding south on Broadway Avenue, west on Ebenezer Street East, north on Church Street, east on Main Street East to the Cenotaph at #61 Main Street East for service. The parade reforms and proceeds east on Main Street East, south on Broadway Avenue and concludes at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 243 (#73 Main Street East). All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
  • Community of Tilbury – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Starting at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 206 (#4 Stewart Avenue) and proceeding west on Stewart Avenue, north on Queen Street to the Cenotaph at Canal Street East for service before returning to Legion Branch 206 on the same route. All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
  • Community of Wheatley – Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM – Starting at Mercer's Service Centre (#71 Talbot Road East) and proceeding west on Talbot Road to the Cenotaph at #35 Talbot Road West for service. The parade reforms and proceeds east on Talbot Road and concludes at Mercer's Service Centre (#71 Talbot Road East). All lanes temporarily closed for parade procession.
