Community Information Sessions Planned for Proposed Regenerative Recycling Facility in Dresden

In response to community feedback regarding the proposed expansion to an existing waste facility located at 29831 Irish School Road, just north of Dresden. The owner/operator York1 Environmental Waste Solutions Ltd. has scheduled two community information sessions about its proposed Regenerative Recycling Facility.

The community is invited to attend one of these two events to learn more about the project. During both events, York1 will address questions and concerns about the facility.

First Event:

  • Limited 100-person capacity, immediate local neighbours (within 500 m) prioritized
  • When: Saturday, February 10th at 1:00 p.m.
  • Where: The Wheelhouse, 547 North Street, Dresden 
  • Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis
  • This event is in place of the previously advertised event at Christ Church

Second Event:

  • 300-person capacity community event
  • When: Friday, March 1st at 6:00 p.m.
  • Where: Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre, 1212 North Street, Dresden
  • Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis

More details about the application are posted on the Province’s website at: https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/019-8205. Anyone can submit online comments directly to the Province through this website by March 16, 2024.
