Ridge House Museum Opens June 1 for the Season

Ridge House Museum is opening for the season on June 1 and, for the first time since 2019, no registration is required to visit during any of the museum's open hours!

Bring the whole family to explore Ridge House Museum with a guided tour as you take in what life was like in 1875. Get creative in our hands-on interactive space, the Discovery Den, as you make crafts, bake a cake in our play kitchen, or build a rainbow on our light table. There is something for everyone at the Ridge House Museum!

This year, the museum has partnered with the Ridgetown Horticultural Society to update the gardens. Visitors will now have the opportunity to learn about plants and landscapes native to our area! Come for a tour and leave inspired by the beauty of our local ecology. This project was made possible through the support of Golden Alexander’s Native Plant Nursery and Ridgetown Home Hardware.

The Ridge House Museum is open to drop-in visitors from June 1 – August 27, Wednesday through Sunday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm with extended hours to 7:00 pm on Thursdays. Admission is by donation.

Ridge House Museum is located at 53 Erie Street South in Ridgetown. For more information on the museum, Discovery Den, and upcoming events, follow us on Facebook or Instagram @CKMunicipalMuseums or visit our website at www.chatham-kent.ca/RidgeHouse.
