A Bag of Books is a resource offered to teachers and daycare providers where 25 books, including board books, picture books, early readers, and easy non-fiction, are selected on a topic of your choice and available for you to pick up from any CKPL branch.
Playaways makes audiobooks accessible for everyone, providing the portability of a digital audiobook with the grab-and-go convenience of a physical format.
Storykits contain a variety of storytelling and circle time materials, including: books, puppets, musical instruments, CDs, DVDs, rhyme and song sheets, puzzles, items to count and sort, and props. Kits circulate for 4 weeks and can be picked up and returned to any CKPL branch.
Playpacks are created for movement! These unique physical literacy kits are filled with equipment, props, and books that encourage families to get up and move! Play Packs are great resources for parents, grandparents, teachers, early childhood educators, day care providers, homeschoolers, coaches--and even family reunions!
Wonderbook is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids will press play to read along with their favorite books. It has both the Read-Along mode and Learning mode. After reading along, kids can switch Wonderbook into Learning Mode to keep talking about the book they've just read to experience Educator-Vetted Questions, Parent-Child Dialogue, Literacy Skills and Bilingual Learning.
