Come join us at the CK Racquet Centre! We started offering tennis lessons in May 2024 at the Doug Allin and Joe Carpenter courts in Chatham. We offer lessons and camps for ages 4+ during the spring and summer. This fall and winter we've partnered with CKRecreation to offer fall lessons at Doug Allin courts for ages 5-12 and inclusive tennis for ages 10+. In the wintertime we will be utilizing school gyms/community centers to offer kids lessons for tennis/pickleball as well as adult lessons for pickleball.
With regards to youth opportunities, we've had our biggest turn out yet, with youth lessons selling out this summer. We're offering youth lessons again this fall Mondays 5:30-6:30pm at Doug Allin. Tennis is the perfect sports for all ages, and it's a great opportunity for the youth to learn all the techniques and rules for tennis. By the end of lessons, youth have successfully been able to rally and play a game. We had a great moment yesterday at the courts, seeing they were filled with kiddo's that have either been in camp or lessons. The best part is they were out with their family. That's the biggest emphasis. Tennis is a family sport, and we encourage families to go out and play together.
CK Racquet Centre is also very excited to be opening a year-round indoor tennis and pickleball facility in Chatham! Our facility will feature four tennis courts and four pickleball courts. Our vision is to create players for life, while our mission is to offer something for everyone. We will be offering a variety of programs, lessons, and court booking options to ensure there is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy themselves. We will be located in Chatham's brand-new sports park, at 23508 Bear Line Rd, Chatham, ON. Our goal is to be offering 2025 summer camps at our new location on Bear line, but also hoping to continue the partnership with CK recreation and offering tennis lessons or camps.
Tennis is an accessible sport that can be adaptive in regard to instruction and equipment which allows all ages and abilities to play the game of a lifetime! With a strong foundation already being built this summer and continuing this fall and winter, we are excited to open our new facility soon to expand our offerings even further to ensure there is something for everyone!
