Passengers who require a support person to effectively use public transit services due to a disability may be eligible to apply for a Ride CK Support Person Assistance Card. A support person is someone who assists the card holder with communication, mobility, personal care/medical needs or with access to goods, services or facilities.
Upon payment of fare by the card holder, the Support Person Assistance Card permits one (1) support person to travel with the card holder at no additional fare. Additional companions must pay a fare. A card holder may travel with different support persons at different times. The support person must be travelling to and from the same destination as the passenger.
Please review our Support Person Policy for complete terms and conditions.

The Support Person Assistance Card displays the name and photo of the passenger with the disability. Your photo must be taken at either the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre or Wallaceburg Service Centre for verification purposes. You may choose to have your photo taken when dropping off your application or anytime after your application has been received and approved. The finished card will be mailed to your address.
Mandatory Support Persons
Note that passengers approved for specialized transit in Chatham or Wallaceburg who have a mandatory support person attached to their profile are not required to apply for the new Support Person Assistance Card unless they intend to also use conventional transit with a support person.
