Cause: Accidental

Comments on cause: Firefighters from Station #3 – Wallaceburg, Wallaceburg volunteer firefighters and Station #2 – Chatham responded to 21 First Street in Wallaceburg just before 8:30pm yesterday for a house fire. The fire, which started on the main level and had spread to the floor and floor joists was quickly extinguished by the crew. There were no injuries. Firefighters did treat a cat on scene with oxygen. Police, EMS and Victim Services were also on scene.
