Cause: Electrical

Comments on cause: Shortly after 5pm Thursday afternoon, reports of flames in one of the change rooms at the Blenheim Pool was called into to CK 911 dispatchers. Station 18 – Blenheim responded and made a rapid attack into the change room as they were met with heavy black smoke. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and contain the fire to the shower area. Crews remained on scene clearing smoke and working with fire investigators into the evening. The cause of the fire is electrical. No injuries.
