Travelling with Teens

​Chatham-Kent is an awesome destination to visit with your families of tweens, teens, and twenty-somethings! With tons to do for everybody such as active recreation, arcades, theatres, museums, signature events, and awesome seasonal activities, your family is sure to have a fun-packed itinerary! Add a hotel and make it an overnight stay and enjoy even more fun!

Get Active

A great way to have some fun with the fam in Chatham-Kent is by joining in on some of our fun activities. Come experience the great activities like Gelly Ball at Valley Axe Throwing or Chatham-Kent's nine-hole disc golf course at Thames Grove Disc Golf. For another family-friendly challenge head to Chatham Bowlerama for some fun competition. Discover Chatham Bowlerama's special Glow Bowl or Rock n Bowl! Bothwell Roller Skating Night (seasonal) is another great way to have some fun and get active with the kids, visit on one of their themed nights such as jersey night, or 80s night.


Classic Fun

Located in the heart of downtown Chatham - kids of all ages can enjoy a huge all you-can-play board game library at Turns & Tales. Not only can you enjoy board games on site but you can play while at the same time taking advantage of their unique offering of local beer, wine seasonal cocktails, coffee and tea. They also have an incredible selection of books to choose from. 

Another option is Chatham-Kent's fun and unique arcade options! Book a bowling lane at the very cool retro-themed Level Up Arcade & Bowling located in Blenheim, or enjoy a multitude of arcade games, play foosball, air hockey, or a game of pool all while enjoying a full menu! Plus, it's licenced and the kids will love their specialty non-alcoholic selection of slushies and more. 

Bringing the kids out to one of Chatham-Kent's unique candy shops is another stop they're sure to love, head to A Taste Of Britain or Just Pop On In. Of course you can never go wrong with ice cream - and we've got a checklist for you to knock off all of the best places in CK!

Don't forget about Comic Oasis in Wallaceburg - where they can grab the hottest comic books and Funko Pops too!


Catch a Flick

There's nothing better than air conditioning, popcorn and a great movie! You'll find the latest at in theatres at Galaxy Cinemas Chatham. Featuring 7 screens (5 3D), an awesome concession, a licenced bar, Yogurt Café, and Starbucks the whole family will be satisfied.Just on the fringe of CK, experience watching a movie in a new fun way outdoors at The Boonies Drive In Friday to Sunday in Tilbury! Don't forget your blankets, they've got the food and drinks. 

Classic Cars and the need for speed

Chatham-Kent has some amazing signature events that your family will love! Chatham-Kent is the Classic Car Capitol of Canada, so you have to look for a Classic Car Event in Chatham-Kent during your trip! Satisfy your need for speed at Buxton Speedway every Summer Saturday in South Buxton!


Museums 

If your family is looking to add some culture to your visit, CK has a great variety of museums to check out. Some are seasonal, but others like the Wallaceburg & District Museum along with the Chatham-Kent Museum are open year-round with unique offerings to take advantage of. 


Chatham-Kent is a fantastic destination for all four seasons of the year, with lots to do year-round outside too.

Fall 

iMaze Corn Maize is a great place to bring the family for some autumn fun, with a 10-acre corn maze, corn barn, ropes course, slides, various games, firepit rentals, and more! 

Tilbilly Halloween Adventure Farm features a corn maze, as well as pumpkin picking, combine slide, petting zoo, peddle carts, mini putt, hayrides, and more. 

Umiland is CK's newest maze with a virtual reality twist! This innovative adventure ties in virtual reality so be sure to bring your smart phone. 

Christmas 

Sloan's Village is a Christmas wonderland for all ages! Sloan's Christmas Village is a 250-acre farm known for growing Christmas Trees, with a U-Cut Christmas Tree and a dozen other fun, Christmas family activities.

Summer

Beaches are plentiful in Chatham-Kent. Enjoy one of the many fantastic sandy and clean beach options, between Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair with more than 100 kilometres of shoreline to explore.
